“Excellence Through performance”

Since its establishment in 1958, the Tyler Legacy High School Band has been grounded in tradition and excellence. The band is under the direction of Mr. Mr. Justin Threadgill, Mr. Alonso Hernandez, and Mr. Mack Garner, and Percussion director Mr. Darriel Montgomery. The Guard is under the direction of Mrs. Kerstin King-Threadgill. The Legacy Band Area Cluster includes Hubbard Middle School, Moore MST Magnet Middle School, and Three Lakes Middle School.

The Tyler Legacy High School Band program is divided into several groups: Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Concert Band, Jazz Band I and II, Percussion Ensemble, Drumline, Color Guard and Winter Guard. You can read more about these groups by selecting them from the Ensembles Menu.

In the Fall, all of the various parts of the Legacy Band combine to create “The Pride of Tyler Legacy”, which performs at all varsity football games, marching contests and various community events.
